ES:ME Invests in L-Acoustics K Series

ES:ME Entertainment Services has purchased the first L-Acoustics K3 system sold in the Middle East through regional distributor, Edge Electronics.

The purchase comprises 24 K3, eight KS28, two LA-RAK AVB II, a P1 Processor, and two extra LS10 Milan AVB switchers on top of the existing four in the LA-RAK AVB II to give it the capability of running a fully redundant system digitally through AVB Milan Protocol.

“We’re incredibly excited to have ES:ME Entertainment Services joining the K3 Rental Partner network,” said Chris Mead, Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East at L-Acoustics. “Their expertise in the local market and understanding of end client’s needs ensure that K3 will delight audiences at the region’s most prestigious events.”

The K3 line array was first presented on the market in 2020, with the K3 filling the gap between the compact line arrays (Kiva II and Kara II) and the full-range line arrays (K1 and K2) in the K Series.

The K3 utilises the Panflex feature, which provides sound designers with quick access to a choice of four horizontal directivity patterns: 70° or 110° symmetrical or 90° asymmetrical on either side.

Equipped with the L-Acoustics signature DOSC waveguide for long-throw capability (>35 m/100 ft), K3 boasts an exceptional bandwidth of 42 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB, 70° directivity) and maximum SPL of 143 dB. Without needing a dedicated subwoofer, K3 can be used as the main system for vocal and music reinforcement in most applications, or as a complement to K1 or K2 as outfills or delays. When deployed with KS28 subwoofers, K3 excels as a compact main system for sonically demanding live events.

“We are thrilled with the increasing demand of L-Acoustics in the Middle East,” commented Pratap Singh from Edge Electronics. “We are committed to providing the best possible AV solutions to our partners and thank them for their continuous trust in Edge Electronics.”

Alexander Wuerfel CEO, ES:ME, added: “After a long wait due to global supply chain restrictions, we finally got our hands on our brand-new L-Acoustics K3 system with the sole objective of serving the region’s market at the best possible level. We are super excited to be able to try if for the first time in the  World Cup and we look forward to seeing it in action in many more events across the Middle East.”

The system is currently available in Qatar and set to feature during the FIFA World Cup.
