Robe Hosts SA Theatre Workshops

The events are set to take place in Cape Town and Johannesburg on 1 August and 5 August respectively.

Robe is rejuvenating theatre in South Africa with an unmissable opportunity to inspire lighting designers and technicians, young and old.

Leading the LED theatre lighting innovation, join DWR Distribution for the Robe Theatre Workshop – a world tour, presented by renowned UK theatre designer Andy Webb. Andy will be joined by Robe Theatre Products Manager, Dave Whitehouse, who is no stranger to South Africa, and Jordan Tinniswood, a lighting designer and programmer based in the UK. The workshop will be hosted at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town on 1 August 2022 and at the UJ Arts Centre Theatre in Johannesburg on 5 August from 10am to 4pm.

The lighting manufacturer is continuously in touch with top lighting designers throughout the world to create an end product that meets the demands for all lighting applications. Robe’s innovative approach regarding LED fixtures makes this workshop an event that should not be missed.

Webb and Whitehouse will explain why LED has become an essential tool in theatre, diving deeply into colour, colour temperature and white source versus multi-spectral LED engines. The workshop will be followed by a Q&A session. Guests will also be able to see the fixtures up close and have a try themselves.
